Class size is limited to create the best learning environment for students.
Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Breakin', Acrobatics, Tiny Tot and Pre-School Combination
are limited to sixteen students. Hip Hop and Pom Dance may contain more.
All*Star performance classes are determined by audition only.
Classes will run 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the level and type of class.
Levels are determined by ability; and the instructor will determine progression and class placement.
The more instruction a student receives, the quicker they will progress.
Class Descriptions
Jazz
Class focus on jazz movement and performance with technique.
Contemporary, funky, and stylized forms are taught.
Full body warm up and combinations includes executing proper body lines, extensions,
and quick movement sequences.
Various turns, leaps, and jumps will also be taught.

Hip Hop
One of the most recognized expressions of dance,
this class focuses on the latest steps featured in music videos and concerts.
Featuring high energy and popular music, combinations can involve tricks and partner work.
Great class for dancers of all levels!

Breakin'
This form of dance has made a comeback!
Featuring up and top rock, pop and lock, footwork , power moves,
and freezes, this class will be sure to give you a work out.
Students participate in freestyle and battles.

Tap
Basics taught in Rhythm and Broadway styles.
Class builds listening skills, rhythm, and timing.
Focus is on clarity of sounds and intricate combinations.

Pom Dance
Fast paced dance form derived from cheerleading with a dance team focus.
Athletic movements focus on precision, formations, and visual effects. Pom-poms are used.

Ballet
This classical art form focuses on technique and terminology.
Placement of the body, poise, and proper alignment are emphasized.
A strong foundation for other disciplines is gained through
barre work, adagio, allegro, turns, and leaps/jumps.
Black leotards and pink tights required; skirts/shorts allowed;
pink ballet shoes (split sole preferred) required
Pointe
Upon permission of the instructor, seasoned dancers may begin pointe work.
Ages 12 & up.

Lyrical
Combining contemporary jazz, ballet, and modern, dancers use emotion to express music.
This cross-disciplinary technique is free-flowing and less confined than ballet.

Musical Theater
Class focus in based on theater while combining music, dance, and interpretive movements.
Song and dance are integrated with both plot and character development.
Broadway history and shows will be explored.

Acrobatics
Class uses basic motor skills to develop strength and flexibility.
Combining tumbling and dance, students begin with simple skills and
progress to more advanced skills throughout the year.
Bare feet required
Stretch/Strength/Tumble
Extreme focus on flexibility and strength to help dancers
with fundamentals that will assist them in furthering
their growth in their basic dance technique.

Tiny Tot and Pre-School Combination
For our youngest students! Class is filled with dance activities that allow
for the discovery of the world through movement.
The use of music and props encourages the development of motor skills,
individual creativity, self-awareness, and group participation.
Great place to start social development!

Performance Classes
For the more serious student who would like to intensify their training.
Focus is on performance and dancers particpate in competition as well.
All performance class dancers audition for class placement.
