 | Ms. Jessica Foster Ms. Jessica has been dancing for twenty-two years and instructing for fourteen. She has been the owner and director of Dance Nation for the past eight years. She teaches hip hop, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, musical theater, acrobatics, pom dance, pre-school combination, and tiny tot. She holds a bachelor's degree in Human Services Counseling and maintains the philosophy that anyone is capable of dancing. Upon graduation from high school, Ms. Jessica studied dance at Old Dominion University, The Hartford Conservatory, and Broadway Dance Center in New York City, where she currently participates in classes and workshops. She also continues her training at Alvin Ailey in New York City and attends specialized workshops such as Monsters of Hip Hop and The Pulse. Choreographers worked with include Chio, Slam, Darrin Henson, Tabitha & Napoleon (NappyTabs), Shea Sullivan, Rhapsody, Dave Scott, and Mia Michaels, Dan Karaty and Brian Friedman who are featured on the television show "So You Think You Can Dance." Performance experience includes the off-Broadway production "Shake the Floor," Six Flags New England Freight Fest - "Dead Man's Party", The Big E, and Boston Celtics and Connecticut Pride Basketball. Currently, Ms. Jessica is a member of the Boston based dance crew SQ Entertainment and the Hartford based dance crew Elite Supreme. The Boston crew is under the direction of Ernest Phillips (E-Knock) who was featured on MTV's America's Best Dance Crew as well as a "Made" coach. She is a certified level three instructor for American Dance Training Camps under the direction of Lindsey Fadner. She has instructed master classes and performances for the Community Health Network, The Workplace of Bridgeport, National Association of Dance and Affiliated Arts (former vice-president) and afterschool programs for Vernon Center Middle School, as well as choreographed for the Old Dominion University Dance Team (NCA Danz Nationals), Springfield Slamm and Spirit basketball half-times, and Tri-Town Panthers cheerleading. Ms. Jessica is the former director of The Children's Home of Cromwell's summer dance program in which she created and produced end of the summer showcases for five years as well as the coach of the Rockville High School Dance Team (9 years). She is the proud mother of three beautiful girls Skylin, Brooklin and Mikaylin. |
